A Tragedy

By Ian Council | Category :: Poem

Even though it will be a beautiful day,
I will not be there.
Even though happiness will be in every heart,
I will not be there.
Every one will be there to see this day,
but I will not be there.
The flowers and festivity beckon all to come,
but I will not be there.
Song we know and love will play,
but I will not be there.
Tears will fall for many reasons,
but I will not be there.
Even though I introduced you,
I will not be there.
Even though I love both of you,
I will not be there.
Your lives will continue,
but I will not be there.

elvin esmino
in my own opinion the poem speak of or about a person telling he will not go to his\her former love wedded to someone else?
